Your tasks
As a Configuration Management Engineer, you will create and maintain project configuration Management plans for our Signaling Systems ensuring all applied
software and installed components are documented, controlled, and managed over the program lifecycle. Close collaboration with the Program Management team and associated Engineering groups is essential for success in this role.
Key Activities
• On time creation and managing Configuration Management Plans, processes and tracking tools
• Establish and maintain a Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
• Proactive updating of documentation related to configuration changes
• Internal quality check that all documentation related to configuration changes are updated
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure that all configuration items are properly identified, controlled and tracked
• Conduct regular internal audits to verify accuracy and completeness of the data base
• Provide support and guidance to project teams on configuration management subjects
• Support field modifications of onboard and wayside equipment updates
• Cross departmental coordination to assure the organization follows the configuration management practices and
procedures
Your profile
Qualifications• BS in Engineering, computer science, or related field, preferred
• 2 – 3 years of experience in the field of rail vehicle, defense, aerospace, or configuration management
• Strong knowledge of configuration management tools and methodologies
• Proficient in English (both written and spoken)
• Detail-oriented with a strong attention to accuracy
• Structured, goal-oriented, dynamic and loyal personality
• Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong teamworking skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
